Exciting Summer of 2011

This summer was intense! We received word that we were able to get our apartment renovated if we moved out for two months. We lived for a while with the in-laws, and then we moved over to my friends parents home who were away on vacation. We stayed at their house during the hottest part of our summer, and they had a pool and hot-tub. It was glorious! We had such a great time there, it was like we were on vacation. The renovation that happen to our place was a total gutting and replacement of everything. The walls were torn out, even the ceiling was as we got sound-proofing done. All our appliances were replaced, the entire bathroom, the floors, fixtures, everything! It took two months, and a whole crew of men worked on the place for weeks. All the while, I was happily tanning on my floaty! Now we have the task of unpacking boxes and organizing our things. It's going to take a long time before things get back to normal since we lead such busy lives, but every day we make a few steps forward. It's so much fun setting up home in this lovely brand new place. We are so grateful!
