Beautiful, clear skies - +12 days - it's hard to imagine that these are our "winter olympics". But yet, here they are. It's a zoo downtown - thousands upon thousands of people crowd into every corner of the city and line-up for every venue, event, or exhibit. Raph and I braved the crowds and actually had quite a bit of fun. There were a few moments when we felt like we were uninvited guests to someone else's party - but we quickly turned our frown upside down and basically pushed our way to get to where we wanted to go. I really wanted to go ice-skating at Robson square - so we did! Sure I had to knock over a few kids along the way, but I got on the ice (just kidding, I didn't knock over any kids. Okay, I did). We also hung out at the library and enjoyed the view, rode the Canada Line (which is REALLY cool and something we get to keep!) and took lots of pictures of the clock, flame, ect. It really was truly wonderful and as long as one is prepared for just experiencing a place that is as crowded as an ant hill, one will have a ton of fun. Tomorrow I'm going back to experience it all over again.

The only picture remotely like Indonesia is the first :-) Thanks for the pictures, Ang! What a great place we call "home"!
